Microsoft frequently rolls out new versions of its productivity suite and applications, and every update delivers unique features that everybody has been expecting for a long time. The tech giant is supposed to launch Office 2019, the upcoming Microsoft Office productivity tool, towards the end of 2018. It is supposed to be a massive improvement over Office 365. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to use Microsoft Word. Anybody who knows the basics of working a computer can easily and efficiently use Microsoft Office apps. People who work on desktops will find it convenient to work on Office 2016, Office 3013, and Office 2010.

Download Microsoft Office

Before downloading Office, remove and reinstall any older versions of Office. After that, follow the step=wise download procedure for Microsoft Office:

  1. Firstly, you need to check whether the computer meets the minimum system requirements of the Office suite before downloading the MS Office setup.
  2. Go to office.com/setup and click on the Sign in button.
  3. Enter the login details. If you cannot remember the password or the username, then just click on forgot the password. You can easily recover the password.
  4. Users who do not have any Microsoft My Account should make one by clicking on Sign Up.
  5. If you have multiple Microsoft accounts then log in from the account, you used to buy the Microsoft Office product.
  6. After signing in successfully, allow the home page to load.
  7. From the list of available Office products and subscriptions, select the one you want to download and click on the Install Office button next to it.
  8. After that, click on Install.
  9. Now, the Office setup file will start to download.

Install Microsoft Office Setup

To install MS Office, make sure that you have a good internet connection. After that, follow the step-wise process given below to install Microsoft Office:

  1. When the setup file gets downloaded on the device, you have to install it on your computer. Here is how you can install Office on your system:
  2. Open the download location of the Microsoft Office installer file.
  3. Find the Setup file with .exe extension. Double-click on it.
  4. Now, you will be asked if you wish to allow the application to make changes to your computer. To proceed to the next installation step, click on the Yes button.
  5. Now, the file will start to install your Microsoft Office version and all the applications it contains on the device.
  6. Installation process may take a while to complete.

Activate Microsoft Office Setup

Note down your MS Office activation key somewhere safe. After that, follow the step-wise procedure for activating Microsoft Office setup:

  1. From the list of all programs in the Start menu, click on any Office app.
  2. If the Office product has been activated, then all you have to do is agree to the Microsoft terms and conditions.
  3. Users who have not activated their Microsoft Office product will be prompted to do so now.
  4. You will get two choices: Activate your Office product via the internet or over the phone.
  5. Click on the Internet option.
  6. If you aren’t logged in to your account, you will be prompted to do so.
  7. Carefully enter the 25 characters alphanumeric product key in the space.
  8. Make sure that your product activation key is valid.
  9. After entering the activation code, you will be able to access your Microsoft Office programs.
